Replacement TRK-42" HOUSING (49x33x1 For Sears , AYP , husqvarna # 176031 Review

I ordered this as a replacement for my old Craftsman mower deck that had rusted through.It was about $50 cheaper than going to Sears directly.It showed up in a timely manner.I had a few problems getting all of the components off of my existing mower, but eventually got everything put back together except for one part.

The only complaint that I had was that one of the 4 holes that holds the vortex baffle did not line up.It deviates about an inch from the original.Since I don't know if that was a change made by Sears or whether this OEM version is off, I can't really deduct more than one star for that.

SPINDLE ASSY MTD 82-502-2 Review

The spindle fit perfect, but the blades didnt fit the spindles. Send a e-mail to Damlow and they sended me back that they should work. They dont! The blades I got were #95-005 that fit a craftsman not a MTD. I should have recevied a #98-059 to work with my mower. Will I deal with Damlow again, I dont think so.

Used on Craftsman, Poulan, Husqvarna, Wizard, and more. This part was used on 36, 38, and 42" AYP mowers from 1993 until about 2002. Has three mounting holes. If your housing is broken and the shaft and bearings are in good shape then this is the part to buy. Save money by only replacing the housing. With this new design the need for those darn hard to install self tapping bolts is eliminated. When my kid jammed mud into my old ignition switch, I strongly suspected that was the source of my mower starting issues. Nevertheless, I yielded to the methodical diagnostic processes of the experts. Replacement Spindle Housing For Sears / AYP / Husqvarna # 128774 & 532128774 Review

After doing a lot of research online and calling/visiting numerous local repair shops, I found this was the best place to get this part at the best price. It matched up perfectly just like the original.
I only wish that someone could explain why this part is made of such a fragile alloy instead of something more durable. If this was made of steel, I don't think we would be changing it as often. And don't bother looking for a steel one, they don't exist. I searched high and low, and they are all the same.
Again, I found this site to have the best valued price. My only complaint would be that the screws that hold the housing on ARE NOT included with this part. I had to go to one of my local small engine repair shops for the screws, which cost just as much as the spindle housing.

Arnold Corp. OEM-190-110 Complete Grass Catcher Assembly Review

After purchasing this product as recommended by the MTD manufacturer's website we discovered first that none of the accompanying hardware was included in the packaging. After having located and acquiring the hardware at a local lawn mower repair shop, we determined the grass catcher could not be mounted on the lawn mower the manner is which the directions indicated. I had to take the lawn mower, grass catcher and hardware back to the local lawn mower repair shop who recommended mounting the hardware a completely different way than the instructions, which included having to drill new holes in the lawn mower deck. A really poor product, with a set of instructions that were totally off base.

Was mowing my yard with my 48" Husqvarna when I found a small cast iron bar-bell that my grandson had thrown in the grass. Broke the bar-bell into three pieces and made a funny looking "SKI" out of one of the blades. Through Terry's I was able to buy two sets (second one in case he throws another in the grass) of blades including shipping for approximately half the price of one set from Sears. They were exact replacement blades and fit perfectly. Certainly glad that I found Terry's.
