Swisher 12886 60-Inch Lawn Roller Review

Shipping crate was poor and damaged in shipment allowing (minimal but repairable) damage to roller.Information that the Roller was only 14 inchs in diameter rather than larger was missing from any internet sources and pictures were deceiving thus the the roller was found to be smaller in diameter that expected.The roller tow bar was not made out of as heavy of material as I would have desired (1 inch square stock that had only eight inch walls).Otherwise it was OK.

The order arrived fast, and the lawn roller is heavy duty, easy to assemble, works great.
4 stars due to the box was destroyed and some hardware was missing. About 4 weeks later the missing parts I ordered arrived.
Would have given 5 stars even with the missing parts with the exception of slow customer service.

Precision Products 18-by-24-Inch Push/Pull Lawn Roller PLR1824 Review

This is the heaviest roller that I found that can be pushed/pulled by hand, not with a tractor.I rototilled my entire backyard to sow new grass seed.This left the lawn very bumpy and uneven.I smoothed it out as much as possible with a wide metal rake, then rolled with this roller.It definitely helped compact the soil and set the seed in good contact with the soil, but it is just not heavy enough to really smooth out high spots.This is true even though it was only working on loose dirt.It would likely be less effective on an established lawn.It does does what it is supposed to, roll about 230 lbs across your lawn, but don't expect it to do the job of a 600lb roller.
