Swisher E4-U3000 Shindaiwa 24.5cc E4 4-Stroke Power Multi-Tool Review

This Swisher-branded tool is the private label version of the standard Shindaiwa multi-tool head.Shindaiwa makes the best commercial trimmers and brushcutters, period.Nothing against other excellent brands, like Stihl (which I also own) and Echo, but in this tool category, Shindaiwa is better.I've owned the Shindaiwa-branded version for 5 years, and it has been dead reliable.The Swisher version appears to be identical.Every part is top-quality.The engine starts quickly and easily, even after storage, it warms up quickly, and it accelerates quickly.The takedown mechanism is very solid - there is no play whatsoever when it is fastened.

The Swisher version, and the Swisher-branded attachments for the head, sell for less than the Shindaiwa versions, too.Highly recommended.

Look if you have to add 2 cycle into its 4 stroke technology than how is it a 4 stroke.And does it still get all the nasty 2 stroke exhaust fumes? I would guess maybe you do since the 2 cycle oil your still putting in must be burned.

Honda power equipment has True 4 Stroke Trimmers than work on only gas and have a sep oil res ..A real 4 stroke.

Unreal ! Was going to buy one .I was like hey look a 4 stroke hedge trimmer by Shindaiwa than saw the 2 stroke Mixing requirements and there went that idea.I mean come on am I mistaken here?

Swisher Shindaiwa E4 Power Multi-Tool String Trimmer Attachment E4-U3001 Review

Swisher/Shindaiwa's quick-disconnect on their multi-tool is exceptional.The lock-up at the joint is very solid, with no play at all, and the drive is via a solid shaft - not a cable as with almost all others.I down-rate this attachment to 4 stars only because the bump head isn't up to the quality of the rest of the tool.I changed mine out to an Echo pre-cut string head several years ago and have never looked back.
