MTD/Marshall 11A-02MG000 Mastercut 20" Push Mower Review

On my mower, the fuel primer and the pull cord quickly died during the first season of use, which for me was a summer with a severe drought and not much use. Parts are difficult to find and are expensive.

Home Depot started selling these mowers last Summer (2008) and quickly withdrew them from their inventory. I recommend spending a few more bucks and getting a better mower.

Poulan 21-inch 550 Series Briggs & Stratton Gas Powered Side Discharge/Bag/Mulch Lawn Mower With High Rear Wheels (CA Compliant) PR550N21RH3X Review

This is a non-started. Even if you follow the directions exactly, you'll pull your arm off trying to get this thing running. I have had it for one year, and have managed to get it started only with great effort. Everything else about the machine is fine.... but its not worth it.

Poulan 22-Inch Side Discharge Push Mower with 4.75 HP Briggs & Stratton Engine and 5 Height Settings PO500N22S Review

I bought this mower a year ago and am extremely disappointed. Though featured as mulch optional, there is no plug for the side discharge. I have tried everywhere to find one but can't. E-mails to Poulan are not replied to and the 1-800 number is a recording saying to call during normal hours (I called 2 hours after they were supposed to be open). Don't buy this thing.

I purchased this machine to mow grass and mulch leaves as they lay on the lawn.While it cut the grass adequately, the dust from the dry leaves clogged the carburator after only three uses.The dealer's mechanic stated Poulan carburators often clogged. The manufacturer's rep characterized the mulching use as "abuse" and said it was not covered by warranty.I should note I used a Snapper mower under the same circumstances for over twenty-five years.

Yard Machines 11A-020B000 20-Inch 148cc Briggs & Stratton Gas-Powered Side Discharge Lawn Mower Review

I bought this mower about 5 years ago. A single woman, I never paid attention to oil changes or maintenance schedules. Just a week ago, I though I needed a new machine when the cord got stuck and would not recoil. It motivated me to learn to do my own maintenance on the mower.

A clean, new air filter, a freshly sharpened blade and a new spark plug later with a healthy oil change proved to me how resilient this little machine is, and how sturdy it is. With its new parts and a good clean up, the little thing started working like new.

If it can endure my abuse, believe me, it is a good product! I mow an area of about 1/8 acre. Very, very happy with my machine that is still faithful to my yard.
